OBITUARY Mrs. T. B. (Effie) Bridges of 2801 E. Price died Wednesday afternoon in St. Joseph's Hospital. On Jan. 5, 1911, she married T. B. Bridges , who preceded her in death on May 23, 1966. She had been a resident of the Paris area since that time. Mrs. Bridges was a member of the College Street Church of Christ and of the ladies' adult Sunday School class of that church. A son, Judson H. Bridges , preceded her in death on Nov. 30, 1978. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lee R. (Marie) Hill and Mrs. Mildred Tharp , both of Paris; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Player of Oakland, Calif, and Mrs. T. G. McFadden of Paris; four brothers, Roy C. Mathews of Oklahoma City, Okla.; Bill Mathews of Hobart, Okla.; Hamp Mathews of Houston and Alvie Mathews of Paris; 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 4 p.m. Friday in Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmye Newman of College Street Church of Christ officiating. Interment will follow in Meadowbrook Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. Mrs. Bridges was born Jan. 28,1891 in Tupelo, Miss. She was the daughter of the late G. W. and Mattie Heflin Mathews.
