She attended Holy Trinity Catholic School in Brainard, Butler County, Nebraska, USA. On January 13, 1931, she married Vaclav J. (James) Vrbka in Bee Village, B Township, Seward County, Nebraska, USA. Three sons and two daughters were born to this union. She was a Homemaker and a Cook at Holy Trinity Catholic School in Brainard. Rose died on October 21, 2000, in David City, Butler County Nebraska, USA. A Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Monsignor Adrian Herbek was held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in David City. Burial was at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery (new) in Brainard. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vaclav; brothers, Louis and James Samek; sisters, Lucille Samek Havlovic and Sister Mary Loyola Samek; and son-in-law, Ronald Hanzl.
