------------------------- Wellington Leader August 8, 2002 Arthur Bart Martindale, 91, died Thursday, July 25, 2002 in Shamrock. Born September 16, 1910 in Hood County, he had lived in this area since 1919. He married Lillie Voyles November 25, 1933 in Hollis, OK. She preceded him in death February 1, 1995. Martindale enjoyed building and roofing and being with people, but most of all he enjoyed his children and grandchildren. He was a member of the Eleventh Street Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, James Martindale of McLean and Kenneth Martindale of Shamrock; two daughter, Joy Uselton of Amarillo and Judy Abernethy of Kelton; a brother, Buck Martindale of Amarillo; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. -------------------------
