Services Monday for Life Long Resident William C. Petska, a life long resident of Valley county, died early Friday at his farm home after suffering a heart attack. He was 57. The family home has been on the farm 4 ½ miles northeast of Ord for the past 18 years. Mr. Petska, son of James Sr., and Anna Ptacnik Petska, was born Dec. 16, 1906, at Ord. He married Alice Holoun on June 3, 1941, at the Geranium Catholic Church. He was a member of the Ord Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus and served as deputy assessor of Valley county for several years. He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Joann Mottl of Norfolk, Betty of Lincoln and Bonnie of home; four sons, Billie, Gary, Donnie and Allan, all at home; his mother, Mrs. Anna Petska of Elyria; two brothers, John of Ord and Joe of Elyria, two sisters, Mrs. Emma Kordik of Pocahontas, Ia., and Mrs. Anna Punchochar of Grand Island. His father and one brother preceded him in death. Services were held Monday morning at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with the Reverend Paul Wachtrle of Cozad officiating.
