Birth year calculated from age at death. Born in the village of Strampouch, county of Caslav, Bohemia, Austrian Empire (now in the Czech Republic). Married Anton Oboril on October 31, 1893 at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Abie, Nebr. ''''''''''' Butler County Press (David City, Nebr.), December 27, 1895, p. 1, col. 6 Died in Childbirth. Through the kindness of Mr. Anton Shonka, we learned of the death of Mrs. Mary Voboril [ sic ] on last Saturday. Deceased was a daughter of Mr. Vavrona, only eighteen years old, and died giving birth to her first child. The afflicted parents find it hard to become reconciled to their cruel loss. She was buried in Abie Sunday. It was the largest funeral procession ever seen in the little city. It is sad to die under such circumstances, but every woman is called to wander near the shadow of death, in order that the race may exist.
