SHERMAN -- Funeral services for Mildred Eichelberger will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 7 at West Hill Cemetery. Rev. Bill Whitehead will officiate with services under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home. Mrs. Eichelberger passed away June 4, 2007 at Mission Oaks Care Center at the age of 88. Mildred was born on November 3, 1918 in Gaston, Alabama to the late O.W. and Maggie (Sheffield) McCrary. She married Delbert Morrison in 1937 in Gunter. She married William Eichelberger in June 1944 in Gunter. She and William were married until his death in August 1969. Mildred was a devoted homemaker but also volunteered as a nurse's aide at the Gunter Nursing Home for a period of time. Mrs. Eichelberger is survived by three daughters, Dawn Arrington and her husband Bill of Gunter, Barbara Mullins of Sherman, and Rebecca Eichelberger and Jim Ingle of Sherman; one son, Roger Eichelberger of Sherman; nine grandchildren, Ronnie and Terry Moore of Arlington, Texas, Joey, Craig, and Clint Mullins, all of Sherman, Vincent Ingle of Sherman, Tim Arrington of San Antonio, and Rusty and Dean Arrington of Gunter; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; two sisters; Audrey Byers and Nettie Wattwood; three brothers, Jessie, Bill, and Earnest, McCrary; and one son, Billy Morrison. Mrs. Eichelberger will be remembered as a caring, kind, precious little lady who will be sorely missed by her family and friends The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Waldo Funeral Home.
