Dawn Aloha Arrington passed away at the hospital surrounded by loved ones on March 30, 2023 at the age of 81. Born on November 27, 1941 to Delbert Morrison and Milred Eichelberger, in Gunter, TX. Dawn was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Bill Arrington, her parents, Delbert and Milred, her 2 brothers, Billy Morrison and Roger Eichelberger. Dawn is survived by her three sons and their wives: Tim and Shirley Arrington of Gunter, Billy Dean and Dara Arrington of Gunter, and Rusty and Rhonda Arrington of Gunter. Dawns' family was blessed with nine grandchildren: Tim and wife Janica Arrington, Heather Cannon, Amber Arrington, Josh and wife Lindsey Arrington, Jacob and Ashley Arrington, Tarah and husband Cody Gill, Tristan Arrington, Torie Arrington, Jordan and husband CJ Ateek. 6 great-grandchildren: Carter, Cash and Case Arrington; Jaxon Arrington; Fallon Sircelj; Paxton Ateek; Connor Gill. Two honorary great grandchildren: Levi and Bella Watson. Sister- N- Law: Mary "Cat" Arrington. Numerous loving nephews and nieces and two future great-grandsons arriving in 2023. Dawn has been blessed with being called Nanny by over seventy-five of her adopted grandchildren that she loved so much. She proudly stood by her husband's side while he served in the U.S. Navy. She was a long-time nanny for the city of Gunter. She was a proud member of First Baptist Church of Gunter. She was a faithful servant, a dedicated wife and a loving mother and friend. The visitation will be held at First Baptist Church of Gunter on Monday, April 3, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will also be held at First Baptist Church of Gunter on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 3:00pm; burial at Gunter Cemetery following the service. The service will be officiated by Brother Scott Jordan and Brother Rick Ballard. The pallbearers will be Justin Ferguson, Greg and Chad Davis, Lane Dophied, Kyle Watson, Casen Driskill and Finlee Gressett. A special thanks to all of her family and friends who have showed so much support and love. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to FBC of Gunter, Mission Fund.
