The Banner-Press (David City, Nebr.), October 8, 1964, p. 8, col. 4 Services Held Monday For John Bernard Mulgrue, 84 Funeral services were conducted from St. Mary's Catholic Church, Monday, Oct. 5, for John Bernard Mulgrue, 84, who died Saturday, Oct. 3, after a lingering illness. Msgr. A. J. Lisko officiated. William Jones, Lester Jones, Ben Parolek, Everett Haney, Paul Duren and William Beebe were pallbearers. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. John Bernard Mulgrue, the son of John and Margaret Fitzgerald Mulgrue, was born in Bloomington, Ill. He came to Nebraska as a child and has since resided in Butler county. On Nov. 18, 1912, he was married to Agnes Haney in St. Mary's Church in David City. Two children were born to this union. He was engaged in farming before retiring a number of years ago. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Surviving are his wife, Agnes, one daughter, Mrs. J. J. Shramek of Kansas City, Mo., one son, John Mulgrue of Lincoln, and eight grandchildren. ___ p. 12, col. 7 CARD OF THANKS – We wish to express our deep appreciation for the many kindnesses and thoughtful acts during the illness and at the time of the death of our beloved husband and father.
