'''''''' The Banner-Press (David City, Nebr.), July 6, 1967, p. 9, col. 1 Funeral Services Held For Mrs. Bernie Mulgrue Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, June 28, at St. Mary's Catholic Church here for Mrs. Bernie Mulgrue 82, who died Sunday, June 25, after an illness of about three months. Officiating were Father Edwin Stander. Pallbearers were William Beebe, Everett and Gene Haney, Dean Harris, Lester Jones and Ben Parolek. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Among those coming from a distance for the services were Genevieve and Mike Branigan of North Platte, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Parolek of Fremont, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Branigan, Gene Haney, Cletus Haney, Dean Harris, Clint Cady, Mrs. Marvin Haney, Mrs. Marilyn Shannon, and Miss Mildred Haney, all of Omaha, and Mr. and Mrs. Ferguson of Lincoln. Agnes L. Haney, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Haney, pioneer Butler county residents, was born Dec. 10, 1884, at Rising City. She made her home in Butler county throughout her life. On Nov. 18, 1912, she was married at St. Mary's Church, David City, to Bernie Mulgrue. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1962. Two children, Mary Margaret and John, were born to this union. Mrs. Mulgrue was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. J. J. (Mary Margaret) Shramek of Kansas City, Mo.; one son, John Mulgrue of Lincoln; eight grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Cora Harris of David City. Her husband preceded her in death in 1964.
