Her marriage to Jerold Shonka took place in Linwood on October 14, 1912. They lived in Abie three years after their marriage, mloving to the farm near David City in 1915. Devoted to her husband and children and deeply beloved by them, Mrs. Shonka's home life was unusually happy, and all her interests were centered in her home. She was a consistent follower of the Catholic faith and by living a good life daily had won the regard and close friendship of many people, as was attested by the unusually large attendance at the funeral. _____ Card of Thanks - I wish to heartily thank all my neighbors and friends for their great kindness and sympathy during the illness and at time of death of my dear wife.
