HILL, MAMIE B,-- On Monday, March 21, Mrs. John Hill was buried from her home in the west part of the city. Mrs. Hill was born November 28, 1878. In 1896 she was married to John Hill. Mrs. Hill was a great sufferer and finally died from the results of a surgical operation. A husband and three little children mourn her untimely death. A large crowd of sympathizing friends attended her funeral services and followed the casket to the cemetery. Employees of Younger's nursery acted as a bodyguard and walked beside the hearse. Rich floral designs covered the casket and indicated the loving esteem in which Mrs. Hill was held by her friends. The sympathy for Mr. Hill in the loss of his wife was deep and marked in its character. Mrs. Hill was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Pickerel. Mr. Hill is a foreman in the Youngers & Co. nursery. Mr. Hill and Mr. and Mrs. Pickerel and family desire to thank the many friends who gave so much sympathy and assistance in their bereavement. (Nebraska Signal 25 MAR 1904) Geneva cemetery
