DEATH OF JOHN M. HILL John M. Hill died at his home in Geneva, Nebraska, at 2 a.m. Sunday, October 6, 1918, aged 46 years, 2 months and 10 days. Mr. Hill was born at Maitland, Mo., July 26, 1872. He came to Geneva, Nebraska in 1892 and has since resided here. He was married to Miss Mamie Pickerell, July 26, 1897. His wife died March 4, 1903. He is survived by three children, Irene, Ralph and Glenn, all at home; two brothers, James of Geneva and William of Keystone, Nebraska, three sisters, Mrs. Maude Watson (Clint)of Geneva, Mrs. Carrie Battle of Lexington and Miss Mae Hill of Geneva. Mr. Hill was a member of the Odd Fellow Rebekah and A.O. U.W. lodges of Geneva. Jack, as he was familiarly known about town, had many warm friends who were deeply grieved at this sudden termination of an active and useful life. A few months ago he purchased a truck for use in his dray business and he put in extra long hours during the summer and fall handling his business. Overstock may have weakened his system and made him an easier victim to the attack of influenza to whcih he succumbed. Previous illness had weakened his constituion also. The funeral arrangements were in charge of the Odd Fellows, the Workmen assisting also. The funeral was conducted from the family residence at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon by Rev. E.M. Johnson of Lincoln. Internment was in the Geneva cemetery.
