KEARNS, ERMA LORETTA-- Erma Loretta Pickerill was born in Geneva, Neb., April 19, 1892. She has lived in Geneva all her life. She became a member of the Free Will Baptist church when only a girl. She always enjoyed attending church. She was married to her present husband George Kearns, about six years ago. She departed this life Sunday, October 7, 1928, in the Immanuel hospital of Omaha following an operation, at the age of 36 years, 5 months, and 18 days. She leaves to mourn her death, her father, William Pickerill, her husband, two sons, Homer and Gerald Whited, of former marriage, five sisters and one brother: Mrs. McGaffey; Mrs. O.A. Merrill; Mrs. Herb Madison; Mrs. Venice Tindell; Mrs. C.W. Dingman; and George Pickerill. She was a loyal mother and companion. The funeral was conducted from the William Pickerill home in Geneva at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 10, by Rev. George W. Caughran. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. The Nebraska Signal, 1928.
