Vernon Eugene – Infant son of Wm. And Lizzie Pickerill. After a few hours of suffering, he passed from the loving arms of father and mother to the loving arms of the Savior who said "suffer little children to come unto me." Little Vernon was a promising child, the pet of the home, and the sadness and loneliness of his parents can only be known by those who have passed through a like bereavement. But we know he is not dead, but sleeping, not lost, but safe in the arms of Jesus, and we can truly say, "O death where is your sting, O grave where is thy victory." The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Dazey, at the F. B. church on July 11, 1890. His subject was, "Thy Son Liveth." John 4, 51. A large number of friends followed the body to the grave in Geneva cemetery.
