Butler County Press (David City, Nebr.), January 20, 1972, p. 1, col. 5 Funeral services Friday morning for Mike Jisa, 67 Mike Jisa, 67, of Dwight died Tuesday at the David City Hospital. The wake service will be conducted at 7:30 this evening at the Holesovsky Mortuary in Brainard, and funeral services will be at 10 o'clock Friday morning from Dwight Assumption Church. Mr. Jisa, the son of Matej and Frances Komenda Jisa, was born March 16, 1904, near Dwight. He was married to Caroline Langbauer. Survivors include one son, Frank of Dwight; two daughters, Mrs. Fred Helman of David City and Mrs. Margaret Pekarek of Dwight; three brothers, Joe of Dwight, Louis of Garrison and Albert of Columbus; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Kozisek of Surprise and Mrs. Antonia Kozisek of Friend; 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his wife in January 1962; one son, Ray; and his parents. Mr. Jisa died Tuesday, Jan. 18, at the David City hospital following a lingering illness. Father Harold Birkel officiated at the services. Dwight Assumption choir furnished the music. Pallbearers were Ray Allen Jisa, Gary Helman, Bill Ruzicka, David Jisa, Dan Pasenault and Rudy Kozisek. Burial was in the Dwight Catholic Cemetery. Mike, the son of Math and Frances Komenda Jisa, was born March 16, 1904 at Dwight. On Feb. 6, 1937, he was married to Caroline Langbauer. He was a farmer by occupation. He is survived by one step-son, Frank Jisa of Dwight; two step-daughters, Mrs. Fred (Lucille) Helman of David City and Mrs. Margaret Pekarek of Schuyler; three brothers, Joe of Dwight, Louis of David City, and Albert of Shelby; two sisters, Mary Kozisek of Surprise and Antonia Kozisek of Friend; 14 step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife in Jan. 1962; step-son, Ray in Oct. 1967; parents; and brothers, Emil, Frank, Charles and John. ___ p. 3B, col. 3 CARD OF THANKS - We wish to extend our sincere thanks to all who helped us in any way during the illness and death of our father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Mike Jisa.
