The Banner-Press (David City, Nebraska) 12 May 1994, Thu Page 9 Services Held For Fred F. Hotovy Services for Fred F. Hotovy of Schuyler were conducted Tuesday morning, May 10, from St. Augustine's Catholic Church in Schuyler with Father Dennis Hotovy, Father William Whelan and Father Andrew Meister concelebrating the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial was in Assumption Catholic Cemetery at Dwight at 1:30 p.m. Mr. Hotovy, 92, died Friday, May 6, at the Extended Care Unit of Memorial Hospital. On Feb. 28, 1927, he was married to Gabriela Makes at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Lincoln by Fred's brother, Father John Hotovy. He farmed in the Ulysses area until retiring and moving to Schuyler in 1974. He leaves his wife, Gabriela of Schuyler; three sons, Frederick of Seward, Father Dennis Hotovy of St. Mary's Parish, Wymore and Stanley of Columbus; a daughter, Mrs. Joe (Rita) Kobza of Schuyler; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. His parents; six brothers, James, Cyril, Frank, Anton, Jake, Rev. John Hotovy and three sisters, Emma, Sister Immaculala and Sister Bernadette preceded him in death.
