The Banner-Press (David City, Nebraska) 07 Jan 1999, Thu Page 19 Stanley Hotovy COLUMBUS - Stanley J. Hotovy, 66, of Columbus died Thursday, Dec. 1998, at his home. Mr. Hotovy was born Dec. 24, 1932, in Seward to Fred F. and Gabriela (Makes) Hotovy. He attended Butler County rural District 27 School and graduated in 1950 from Assumption Catholic High School in Dwight. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus; the Catholic Workmanm, Ulysses Branch; and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3704 and Eagles Aerie 1834, both of Columbus. His mother of Schuyler; one sister and brother-in-law, Frederick and Irene Hotovy of Seward and Father Dennis Hotovy of Wymore; nieces; nephews; grand-nieces; and grand-nephews are left to mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his father. Services were held Tuesday, Jan. 5, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Schuyler. Burial was in Assumption Catholic Cemetery at Dwight. Arrangements were made by Svoboda Funeral Home of Schuyler.
