Funeral services for Jerry J. Fendrich, 94, of Abie, were conducted Tuesday May 18, from the Svoboda Funeral Home in Schuyler. Mr. Fendrich died Sunday, May 16, at the Birchwood Manor in North Bend where he resided the past year and a half. Pallbearers were Joe Bohaty, Claire Siroky, Donald Bohaty, Bill Myers. Dennis Fendrich and Randal Fendrich. Burial was in the Bohemian National Cemetery Abie, Butler County, Nebraska. Jerry J. Fendrich was born March 22, 1888, at Abie. He married Mary E. Slosser January 9, 1912 at Abie. They farmed near Abie until 1939, when they moved into Abie where he labored as a carpenter. Suvivors include his wife, Mary, a resident of Birchwood Manor: a son, Jerry L. Fendrich of Prague: a daughter, Mrs. Louis (Mildred) Bohaty of Abie: four grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
