1948, May 20 - Marion Sentinel - Obituary Walker - Mrs Bessie Iola Potter, 60, died April 30 at the home of her daughter Mrs Richard Wallin in Nisswa, MN. She was born July 2, 1887 near Troy Mills, the daughter of Mr and Mrs Chester L Powell. She married June 12, 1907 to Charles E Potter in Marion. Mrs Potter was a member of the Christian church at Troy Mills. Mr and Ms Potter had lived in Troy Mills until 9 years ago when they moved to Nisswa, MN. Besides her husband, she is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs Wallin of Nisswa, MN and Mrs John Arnold of Walker; 2 brothers, W L Powell of Coggon and J L Powell of Walker; 2 sisters Mrs Alice McPike of Walker ad Mrs Georgia Keller of Troy Mills; 5 grandchildren; 34 nieces an nephews and other relatives. Services 2 pm at Nisswa Community Church with Rev Johnson officiating. Interment: Nisswa Cemetery.
