Frances Giesie Hadash May 2, 1929 - Aug. 25, 2010 Frances Giesie Hadash, 81 of Van Vleck died Monday, August 25, 2010 at her residence following a brief illness. She was born on May 2, 1929 in Plantersville, Texas, a daughter of the late Wendelin Giesie and Anna Mock Giesie. Frances has been a resident of Van Vleck for the past twenty years and was a former resident of Wharton. On August 10, 1947, she married Victor Rudolf Hadash Sr. in Wharton, and he preceded her in death on September 21, 1990. She was homemaker all her life. Frances enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading, and going to the movies, but her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her family, which she loved dearly. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Bay City. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by: her infant daughter, Carolyn Hadash; 11 brothers and sisters, including her twin brother, Martin Giesie, and her great grandson, Gowen Robles and son in law, Warren Hunter. A Prayer service was held at 7:00 pm. Friday evening and a Funeral Mass was held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Wharton with Father Dominic Antwi-Boasiako officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton at a later time. Survivors include: daughters, Linda Head and husband Danny of Van Vleck, Barbara White and husband Clarence Richard of Wharton, Joyce Orsak and husband Jerry Jr. of East Bernard, Patricia Carpenter and husband Franky of Markham and Cynthia Hunter of Lake Charles, LA; son, Victor Hadash Jr. and wife Shonna of Bay City; sisters, Theresa Urban of Cameron and Dora Brady of Brazoria. She was also survived by her 26 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers will be: Warren Hunter, Matthew Orsak, Shane Carpenter, Alan White, Jeffry White, Christian Hadash and Victor Hadash, III. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Justin C. Smith, all her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. In lieu of usual remembrances the family requests memorials to Holy Cross Catholic Church, Bay City. Funeral services are under the direction of the Wharton Funeral Home.
