The Facts (Clute, Texas), May 9, 1997: Funeral services for Louie A. Giesie, 75, of West Columbia, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 1997, at the St. John's Catholic Church, with Father Peter Mastrobuono officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg, Texas. He passed away Wednesday, May 7, 1997, at his residence. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. today at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia. Mr. Giesie was a retired brick mason at Dow and a member of VFW. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Giesie of West Columbia; son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Liz Giesie of Baytown; stepsons, Alan Kerley of Damon, Kerry Kerley of Needville, and Joel Kerley of Damon; daughters, Sandra Wleczyk Ducro of West Columbia and Doris Williams and husband, Gary, of Lake Jackson; daughter-in-law, Peggy Giesie of West Columbia; stepdaughter, Diana Estill of Dallas; sisters, Carrie Heinz and Teresa Urban, both of Cameron, Katie Livanec and Dora Brady, both of Brazoria, and Frances Hadash of Van Vleck; 17 grandchildren, Tammy Ducro, Stacie Giesie, Yvonne Giesie, Robbie Meyer, Craig Giesie, Yvette Murray, Edmund Hamilton, Anette Giesie, Jamie Giesie, Cory Williams, Kelsey Williams, Ryan Sullivan, Ronnie Flanagan, Jamie Kerley, Jennifer Kerley, Joshua Kerley, and Rebecca Kerley; 10 great-grandchildren, Ashley DeLaGarza, Amanda DeLaGarza, Annie DeLaGarza, Blaine Giesie, Amy Powell, Macy Kay Meyer, Haley Lemon, Matthew Moake, Zackary Murray, and Keturah Giesie; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wendolyn and Annie Giesie; son, Louie Giesie; wife, Adell Giesie; 5 brothers; and 5 sisters. Pallbearers will be Edmund Hamilton, Craig Giesie, Randy Ryle, Alan Kerley, Kerry Kerley, and Joel Kerley. Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Billington, Kenny Williams, Pete Wishert, Patrick Murray, Mark Meyer, Jason Lemon, Jesse Wishert, Joe Rivera, Eddie Giesie, and Eddie DeLaGarza.
