The Brazosport Facts, August 26, 2960: Giese Funeral Rites Saturday John Carl Giesie, 40, of Brazoria, died Thursday in a Freeport hospital where he had been a patient for 125 days. Rosary will be recited at 8 tonight at the Freeport Funeral Home Chapel and requiem mass will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary: Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Freeport. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Rosenberg. Giesie, a World War II veteran, was an operator for Dow. Survivors include his wife, Irene; a son, Edward James; daughters, Marilyn and Patricia Ann, all of Brazoria; brothers, Adam of Wharton, John of Baytown, Louie and Felix Giesie, both of Brazoria. Also, eight sisters, Josephine Rosilier of Dobbin, Tex., Caroline Heinz and Theresa Urban, both of Cameron, Lena Buenger of Wharton, Mary Krutilek of El Campo, Katie Livanec of Brazoria, Dora Barbalinardo of New jersey, and Frances Hadash of LaSalle, Tex.
