Bio

Cameron – Funeral Services for Mrs. Theresa Frances Urban, 89, of Cameron, will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the Kathryn W. Green Chapel of Green-Patterson Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Petty officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cameron. Mrs. Urban passed away on May 26, 2013 in a Cameron nursing center. Mrs. Urban was born on October 1, 1923 in Plantersville, TX to Wendelin and Anna (Mock) Giesie. She was a waitress at The Texan Café and Ponderosa Restaurant for many years. Mrs. Urban was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post #2010 and members of the Widows Mite at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church. She married Arnold J. "Tutt" Urban on Nov. 27, 1947 and he preceded her in death along with five brothers and six sisters. Survivors include sons: Raymond Alfred Urban and John Arnold Urban, both of Cameron; daughters: Frances Ann Adcox and Kathleen Annette Thorpe, both of Cameron; sister: Dora Brady of Brazoria; 9 Grandchildren and 16 Great-Grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Cameron is in charge of arrangements.
