He married May 30, 1909, in McMinn County, TN, Muncie Grace McDonald, born July 8, 1888, died January 10, 1973, at Etowah, TN, daughter of George Washington and Mary Elizabeth (Clark) McDonald. A member of Friendship Baptist Church, burial was at the church cemetery.
