Bio

Mobile Register, Mobile, Ala., Friday, July 3, 1931 CATHERINE GERST HITCHCOCK--native of Germany and a resident of Mobile for the past 70 years died at the family residence, 1103 Augusta St. Thursday night after a lingering illness. She is survived by three sons, Joseph Mangold, Harry Hitchcock, and George Hitchcock all of Mobile; five daughters Mrs. Fred Smith, Mrs. Richard Simpkins, Mrs. George Wagner, and Mrs. Adell Sutton all of Mobile and Miss Catherine Hitchcock of New Orleans; two nieces Mrs. Fred Ravier and Mrs. Louis Moragues of Mobile. Funeral services will be conducted from the residence of her niece, Mrs. Ravier, 405 George St. Saturday morning and from St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church at an hour to be announced later by Higgins and Conditt.
