WALLACE NELSON HITCHCOCK, aged fifty-seven years, died at his home, No. 207 Old Shell Road, Thursday morning after a short illness. Deceased was a native of Hartford, Conn., and came to Mobile a number of years ago. He was in charge of the construction of the first electric plant erected in Mobile and was first employed in the capacity of first-class mechanic by the Louisville and Nashville Railroad Company. He severed his connections with that road several years ago and at the time of death was in the employ of the Mobile and Ohio Railroad Company. He was a member of Forest Camp, Woodmen of the World and the Fraternal Union. Surviving are his wife, two sons, three daughters and his father and sisters, who reside in New York city.
