'The Lord is my Shepherd' Parents of Dorothy, Phyllis, Crystal Ivy and Jake farmed in Jasper Co., Iowa until 1930, at which time they moved to Monroe, Iowa where Jake started the Dingeman Truck Line, which he operated until the time of his death. OBITUARY: Appeared in Monroe Legacy newspaper, Thursday, May 3, 2001, page 3; Monroe, Jasper, Iowa; Services Held--Services for Ivy I. Dingeman, 96, were held Monday, April 30, 2001, at the Monroe United Methodist Church. Rev. Josue Florendo and Rev. Marvin Potter officiated the services. Interment was in Silent City Cemetery in Monroe. Ivy passed away Friday, April 27, 2001, at Heritage Manor Care Center in Newton. Ivy was a lifetime resident of Monroe. Born March 9, 1905, in Monroe, Ivy was the daughter of Eli and Ida Belle (George) Wood. She was united in marriage on October 7, 1922, to Jacob Dingeman in Monroe. She worked at the Pella Hospital. Ivy Dingeman was a member of the Monroe United Methodist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Hewitt of Monroe and Crystal Dykstra and her husband Herbert also of Monroe; a son-in-law, H.D. "Zeke" Machin of Monroe; a sister, Mabel Sellers of Monroe; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. Ivy waspreceded in death by her parents; husband in 1951; two daughters, Phyllis Machin and Donna Lee Dingeman; a grandson, Rusty Hewitt; three brothers, two sisters, and a son-in-law, Don Hewitt.
