Bio
Mrs. Susan Francis Thomasson, long resident of Matagorda County, at Van Vleck, passed away quietly, January 2, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. L. B. Royder. Interment was made at the Wharton City Cemetery at four p.m. January 3, Rev. James E. Ferguson, Central Presbyterian Church, Houston, officiating. Mrs. Thomasson was born in Tyler County, Texas, November 7, 1848, and had been a resident of Matagorda County some thirty odd years, moving here from Wharton County. Surviving are four sons, W. A. Thomasson of Van Vleck, Chas. D., of Benavides, Joe B., and Sam, of Houston; one daughter, Mrs. L. B. Royder, Houston, and one grand daughter, Miss Thelma Byrd, also of Houston. The family wish to express their deepest gratitude to her very dear friends and relatives for their kind sympathy and beautiful floral offerings. from scrapbook of a grand daughter, but no title of newspaper is given.
