The Gadsden Times, Sunday, 12 November 1978, p. 2, col. 1 "Mr. Wallace Thomas Woodrow Wallace, 63, 1411 Walnut St., died Friday at a local hospital after a brief illness. Funeral services were to be at 2 p.m. today at Michelsen Brown Service Chapel, with the Rev. Archie Gardener officiating. Burial at New Bethel Cemetery [damage obscures several words] wife, Mrs. Lizzie Pauline Wallace; daughters, Mrs. Mirie McGoffey, Mrs. Deborah Poole, both of Piedmont; sons, Larry Wallace, Piedmont, Don Wallace, Clayton, N. C.; sisters, Mrs. Mavis Hoskins, Mrs. Margaret Stevens both of Gadsden; brother, William Wallace, Birmingham; stepdaughters, Mrs. David Poole, Shreveport, La., Mrs. Louise Dalton, Wendell, N.C., Mrs. Jill Heard, Piedmont; stepson, Jeff Smith, Clayton, N.C.; four grandchildren. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Mr. Wallace was a resident of Gadsden most of his life. He was a veteran of WW II and was a member of the Baptist church. The body will remain at Michelson Brown Service throughout the service.
