Emily was married first to a Turley (is in 1850 Neuse, Wayne Co., NC and says she was born in Johnston County) and had children John A. and William A. She married 2nd in 1851 Kimsey Cole and had Margaret who married a Payne;, Frances Marion, never married; Julia, married Robert Welsh; and Mary married J. N. Logan. Those are Julia's children Bessie and Bruce in the household with Emily in 1900. There's a Thomas Turley in the 1840 Johnston County, NC census who has a son and a daughter and is a likely candidate for the father of Emily's first husband. The daughter may be the 20 year old Sallie who is in the household with Emily in the 1850 census. Son John A. Turley married Mary Ann Scarbrough, daughter of William Milton and Deniza Hambright and had children John, Sallie, William, Cora, Gussie, Patrick, and Julia, Daisy, and Patrick.
