Grand Island (Nebraska) Independent September 1991 Leonard "Bud" Golus, 61, of Ord died Tuesday, Sept. 24, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church at Ord. The Rev. James O'Kane will officiate. Burial will be in the Ord Cemetery with military rites by Ralph Rich Post 285 of North Loup. Visitation will be Friday at the Ord Memorial Chapel with an 8 p.m. rosary. Memorials are suggested to donor's choice. Mr. Golus was born Aug. 8, 1930, at Loup City to Frank and Kathryn (Plebanek) Golus. He attended Sherman County schools, graduating in 1950. He married Marjorie Oret on March 24, 1955, at Grand Island. He entered the Air Force in 1951 and retired in 1971. He farmed near North Loup until 1978 when he retired due to health reasons. He moved to Ord in 1934. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; one daughter, Allison (Mrs. Elwyne) Myers of Ord; two grandsons; three brothers, Herbert of Ord, Jerome of Englewood, Colo., and Felix of Wichita Falls, Texas; and three sisters, Berniece Wadas of Ord, Dorothy Levinson of Grand Island, and Evelyn Kalkowski of Auburn, Calif.
