Published in the Ord Quiz, Ord, Nebraska, Thursday, June 22, 1989, Page 8, Column 3 Frank Golus, 53 Rites in Ashton Frank Benjamin Golus was born October 18, 1935 at Loup City, Nebraska to Frank S. and Catherine Plebanek Golus and died Thursday, June 15, 1989 at Loup City, Nebraska at the age of 53. He grew up and received his education in the Loup City Schools and graduated from Loup City High School. He worked on a farm at Doniphan from 1954 to 1957, he then entered the army in 1957 and served until January of 1963. On February 23, 1963 he married Carol Robertson at North St. Paul, MN. They moved to Colorado where he was employed with Dratco Co. Later he worked for the C.A. Norgen Co. as a machinist for 13 years. He became disabled in 1976. They lived in Denver for 19 years before moving in 1982 to Ord. They moved to Loup City in 1988. Survivors include his wife Carol; three sisters, Mrs. Bernice Wadas Sr. of Ord, Dorothy Levingson of Cairo and Evelyn Kalkowski of Auburn, CA; four brothers, Hubert and Leonard of Ord, Felix of Wichita Falls, TX, and Jerome of Englewood, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Funeral services were held Monday, June 19, 1989 at the St. Francis Catholic Church in Ashton. Burial was in the Ft. McPherson National Cemetery at Maxwell, Nebraska. Military Information: PFC, US ARMY
