Bio

Rosenberg Herald, March 7, 1924: Rosenberg and the Fairchilds communities were shocked and saddened to learn of the sudden death of Eddie Stavinoha Tuesday evening, March 4, 1924, at the Rosenberg hospital where he had been taken for treatment for appendicitis. Eddie is the 16-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Stavinoha, prominent citizens of Fairchilds. Besides his parents, he is survived by several brothers and sisters. The bereaved family have the sympathy of their many friends in their sorrow which is so poignant because Eddie's death was sudden and unexpected. He was just entering manhood and life for him was so full of promise. But "his sun went down while it was yet day." Funeral services will be held at the Catholic Church in Needville today at 10 o'clock A.M. Interment will be made in the Needville Cemetery.
