Herald Coaster, November 5, 1979: Funeral services for Emil L. Stavinoha, 67, of Rosenberg, were scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Stavinoha died Saturday morning at his home. He was born Nov. 10, 1912 and has worked for the Texas Department of Highways and Public Transportation. Stavinoha is survived by his wife, Olivia Stavinoha of Rosenberg; one daughter, Rose Petrosky of Rosenberg; three sons, Ray Stavinoha of Rosenberg, Harvey Stavinoha of Bryan, and Don Stavinoha of Schulenburg; four sisters, Annie DeShazo, Olga Dunbar, and Edna Kubosh, all of Rosenberg, and Beatrice Muzny of San Antonio; one brother, Joe Stavinoha of Bay City; and five grandchildren. Arrangements were under the direction of Davis Funeral Home.
