Herald Coaster, December 27, 1995: Funeral services for Edith Edna Kubosh, 79, of Rosenberg, will be held Thursday, Dec. 28, at 2 p.m. at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg, with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. The Rev. Donnie Melton will officiate the services. Mrs. Kubosh was born Aug. 31, 1916 in Fairchilds, and passed away Dec. 25 in Missouri City. She was a member of Rosenberg Brethren Church. Mrs. Kubosh was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Alouisa Stavinoha; sisters, Beatrice Muzny, Annie DeShazo, and Olga Dunbar; and brothers, Emil Stavinoha Jr., Staches Stavinoha, Joe Stavinoha, Bennie Stavinoha, and Edward Stavinoha. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Terry Kubosh of Rosenberg; daughter, Laverne Gibson of Rosenberg; grandchildren, Russell Gibson and wife, Kathleen, of Needville and David Gibson and wife, Teresa, of Rosenberg; great-grandchildren, Jessica and Emily Gibson of Needville and Cody Gibson of Rosenberg. Pallbearers are Clifton Rosenbaum, Robert Wright, Al Ashworth, Hulon Hall, Mike Mathews, Glenn DeShazo, Marvin Gerke, and Ruben Koeppen. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rosenberg Brethren Church. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B.F.
