Bio
Martha Amalie Mazoch, born June 9, 1915, in Holman, Texas, passed away March 15, 2003. Her life was spent as a homemaker and lovingly caring for her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church Altar Society and the KJZT Society. She is survived by Leonard, her loving husband of 64 years, and three children: Paulette Lawther and husband Dean of Deer Park, Yvonne Troutman and husband Ted of Baytown, and Lonnie Mazoch and wife Mary Lynn of Deer Park. Grandchildren are Warren Lawther, Jeff Lawther and wife Ashley, Jessica Troutman, Jeremy Troutman, Jennifer Troutman and Michelle Mazoch. She is also survived by brothers Edwin Kana and wife Minnie of Bay City, Ivan Kana and wife Anne of Midfield, sisters Georgia Pilgrim and husband Floyd of Von Ormy, and Dorothy Oliver and husband Pat of Miami. Brothers and sisters-in-laws include Nettie Zapalac of Palacios, Hattie Parick of Harper, Lillian Mazoch of Angleton, Bettie and Bob Morris of Baytown, Albert Mazoch of Beaumont, John and Mary Mazoch of Orange, and Joyce and Robbie Muckleroy of Harper. The family would also like to acknowledge the devotion of her caregivers, Lila Chapa and Joyce Breaux, throughout her lengthy illness. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today, March 17, 2003, at Navarre Funeral Home, with a rosary beginning at 7 p.m. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2003, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1907 Caroline, Baytown, with burial following at White Cemetery in Highlands. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Building Fund at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Services under the direction of Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook, Baytown, 281-422-8111.
