Amalie Kana Amalie Kana, 89, of Blessing died May 1, 1981 at Matagorda General Hospital. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Blessing. Survivors include sons: Jerome Kana of Houston, Ivan Kana of Midfield and Edwin Kana of Bay City; daughters Mary Bartosh of Blessing, Martha Mazock of Baytown, Georgie Ann Pilgrim of Summerset, and Dorothy Oliver of Miami, Fla.; sister, Edith Mensik of Rosenberg; 27 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services, under the direction of Dick R. Elkins will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Blessing on Monday May 4 at 10 a. m. with grandsons serving as pallbearers. Rosary will be said May 3 at 7:30 p. m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers memorial donations are asked to be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
