Martha N. Ivy, 75, of Waxahachie, passed away Monday, April 2, 2012, at her home. Graveside service and interment will be 11 a.m., Friday, April 6, 2012, at the Oak Branch Cemetery with Pastor Mike Thornhill officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 5, 2012, at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home. Martha was born in Dickens, Texas, to the late Walter Henry and Hattie Lou (Fallis) Parks. She married David "Tex" Ivy on September 9, 1983 in Ardmore, OK. She was preceded in death by sisters, Elaine Tarin, Barbara Ralston and Thelma Brandon; and a grandson, Richard Keith Shinpaugh, Jr. Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Tex Ivy, of Waxahachie; sons, Rick Shinpaugh and wife, Connie, of Waxahachie, David Shinpaugh and wife, Jedon, of Grand Prairie, and Larry Shinpaugh and wife, Karrie, of Midlothian; daughter, Melanie Walker and husband, Lee, of Caddo Mills; step-sons, James Ivy and wife, Diane, of Wichita, KS, David B. Ivy, Jr., of Waxahachie, Jerald Wayne Ivy and wife, Donna, of Wichita, KS, and Kenneth Ivy, of Fort Worth; step-daughter, Lucille Hannah and husband, Roger, of Frost; 25 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia Weaver, of Cedar Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews.
