WAXAHACHIE DAILY LIGHT 8 Feb 1985, Obituary Column. Mrs. Hattie Lou(Fallis) Parks, 87, a longtime Waxahachie resident, died Thursday night at Pleasant Manor Nursing Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Coward Funeral Chapel at Midlothian. Burial will be in Hillcrest Burial Park. Mrs.Parks was born on July 20, 1897,in Scurry and had lived in Wax¬ahachie since 1939. Mrs. Parks was the widow of Walter H. Parks, a former deputy sheriff who died in May 1971. Mrs. Parks was a member of the Ferris Heights United Methodist Church. Survivors include 5 daughters, Elaine Tarin of Midlothian, Barbara Ralston and Thelmaa Brandon, both of Waxahachie, Virginia Weaver of Copperl[sic], and Martha Ivy of Wichita, Kansas; a brother; 2 sisters, 15 grandchildren; and 31 great- grandchildren.
