Herald Coaster, September 5, 1980: Graveside services for John Peter Mazac, 86, of Fairchild will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Needville Public Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Avery officiating. Mazac was found dead at his residence Sept. 3. He was a farmer and a member of the American Legion Post of Needville and the Disabled American Veterans. Survivors include two sisters, Frances Nawara and Carrie Nawara, both of Rosenberg; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Carmany & Carden Funeral Home in Needville after 1 p.m. Friday.
