Bio

Herald Coaster, January 16, 1973: Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday for William Kettler, 78, a former Needville resident who died Sunday in Polly Ryon Hospital. Triska Chapel in Needville will be the site of the services, with Rev. Fredrick Rest officiating. Burial will be in Veterans Administration Cemetery in Houston. Survivors include his wife, Minnie of Houston; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Johnson of South Houston; his sons, Emil of Houston, Wilburn of Wallis, and Edwin and Gilbert, both of California; sisters, Mrs. Alvina Warncke of Needville and Mrs. Ella Rister of Houston; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Triska Chapel in Needville.
