LA CROSSE TRIBUNE OBITUARY ARTICLE, Wednesday, January 29, 1919, Page 8: Influenza Takes Viroquan Viroqua, Wis., Jan. 29 - (Special) - At his home in this city on Tuesday morning occurred the death of William Appleman from pneumonia, which developed from influenza. Mr. Appleman was 28 years old. He was the son of George Appleman. LA CROSSE TRIBUNE OBITUARY ARTICLE, Wednesday, January 29, 1919, Page 1: Pneumonia claimed another victim Tuesday morning at four o'clock, when Wm. Appleman gave up the struggle and passed to the world beyond. He was married, about 35 years old, and is survived by his wife and four-year-old daughter. Burial will be at Sugar Grove Thursday afternoon.
