VERNON COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY OBITUARY ARTICLE: Roy Appleman Roy Appleman, son of George and Mary Appleman was born October 3, 1894 in the town of Clinton, Vernon county, Wisconsin. He passed away September 22, 1960 at Viroqua, at the age of 65 years, 11 months and 20 days. His entire life was spent doing custom work throughout the community where he was born. Preceding him in death were his father and mother, one brother William; two sisters, Geneva and Hattie.
