Bio

John Emil Sliva Sr. was born on 28 August 1897 in Taiton, Wharton County, Texas. He was the fifth of seven children of Joseph Anton Sliva and Albina Pratka Sliva. John Emil Sliva married Amalie Dornak on 24 October 1917. They became the parents of five children: John Frank, Marcella Amalia, Lucy Marie, John Emil Jr., and Theresa Ann Sliva. John Emil Sliva Sr. died on 17 October 1992 in Hillje, Wharton County, Texas. He was 95 years of age. ~by Linda Wiesner, great-niece of John's wife, Amalie Lucy Dornak.
