Elihue was the son of Henry Green Vallance and Elizabeth Gollihue. He was raised by step mother Anna Pearl Yount Vallance and Henry Vallance at the Vallance Farm in Plaska,Texas.He was a brother to John Wesley Vallance of Memphis,Texas. He was married to Bernice Gatlin.His children were Richard Gatlin Vallance andOscar Clarence Vallance.
