Nels Dunckley dies at Craig Hospital NW— Funeral services for Nelson J. Dunckley will be held on Saturday, Dec. 31 at 2:30 at the Congregational Church in Hayden. Mr. Dunckley died Tuesday morning, Dec. 27 at the Craig Hospital. He was born May 12, 1880 in Mitchell County, Kan., the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Dunckley. He came to this country in 1889 with his parents. He and his wife, Sadie were married Dec. 23, 1903. They had been married 57 years. He homesteaded in the Dunckley Community south of Hayden and was a cattle rancher. He had retired from the ranching business and was living in Hayden. He is survived by his wife, Sadie; four daughters, Mrs. Frank Sellers of Craig, Mrs. Carrol Grounds of Craig, Mrs. Dick Mitchell of Hayden and Mrs. Bobby Robinson of Hayden; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.--N.W. Dunckley, long time Routt County resident and retired rancher, who made his home in Hayden, passed away in the Memorial Hospital at Craig, Dec. 28. Born in Mitchell County, Kan., May 12, 1880, Mr. Dunckley came to Hayden with his family in 1889. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Sadie Dunckley of Hayden; four daughters, Mrs. Frank Sellers and Mrs. Carol Grounds of Craig, Mrs. Dick Mitchell and Mrs. Robert Robinson of Hayden; two brothers, Charles of Gresham, Ore. and Walter of Douglas, Ariz.; one sister, Mrs. Ella Brooks of Albuquerque, N.M.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at two o'clock at the Hayden Congregational Church with Rev. Walter Stark officiating. Interment at Hayden.--Steamboat Pilot, Thursday, Dec. 29, 1960, Pg. 8
