Abilene Reporter-News (TX) - April 11, 2003 Edition: ALL Page: A ASPERMONT -- Charles Victor Peach, 85, passed away Tuesday at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2003. Graveside in the Albany Cemetery officiated by Pastor Jim Reinbolt with burial to follow under the care and direction of McCoy Funeral Home of Aspermont. Masonic graveside rites will be held. Mr. Peach was born in Albany, Texas he was graduated from Texas Tech University. He married Janette Allen on May 13, 1942, he taught school in Dickens Texas and then worked and retired from The Administration of Housing and Urban Development in Washington D.C. He was a longtime Stonewall County Rancher and philanthropist. Mr. Peach was responsible for the college education of many of his nieces and nephews in the United States as well as in Prague and Chechnya. Mr. Peaches' wife preceded him in death in 1974. Survivors include his brother, Alvin Peach of San Antonio; sister, Julia Leake of Friona; nieces, Madeline Moore of Pamarine, AZ, Gwendolyn Bouschor of Tuscon, AZ, Nancy Carbajal of Tuscon, AZ, Barbara Lane Peach of Austin and Shirley Meadford of Abilene; one nephew, Blane Robert Peach of San Antonio; and numerous great nieces and nephews. Family requests memorials to Aspermont Masonic Lodge 1382 P.O. Box 187 Hamlin, Texas 79520. Mr. Peach was a 32 degree Master Mason and a 50 year member of the Eastern Star Rule Chapter 989.
