BOVINA - Julia Leake, 99, died Monday, June 21, 2010. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Bovina Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Mitchell, pastor of Bovina United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Blackwell Funeral Home of Friona. Mrs. Leake was born Jan. 15, 1911, in Albany to Joe Frank and Marie Krumple Peach. She married Clifford Leake on May 4, 1929, in Farwell. Survivors include two daughters, Margie Owens of Austin and Kay Williams of Farwell; a brother, Alvin Peach of San Antonio; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
