Bio
J. F. Pesch, 90, former resident of the Boogsburg community southeast of Albany, died, April 5, 1956, at the home of his son, Joe Pesch at Bovina. He had been ill a week. The body was brought to Albany, where funeral services were held. Burial was in the Albany Cemetery beside the grave of his wife. Joseph Frank Pesch was born December 31, 1865, in Moravia, Austria, where he was reared and where he served in the Austrian army before coming to America in 1888. He landed in Galveston, and lived in Wharton County, where he farmed. In 1890 Mary Crumholtz came over from Austria and they were married in Houston and returned to Wharton County, where they lived until they came to Shackelford County in 1906. In 1926 Mr. Pesch went to Bovina, where he lived until his death. He was a member of the Catholic Church. Albany News, April 12, 1956 pg. 1
