FUNERAL SERVICE: 3 PM SATURDAY, OCTOBER 22, 2011 OTT AND LEE CHAPEL - MORTON VISITATION: 5PM - 8PM FRIDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2011 2PM - 3PM SATURDAY, OCTOBER 22, 2011 OTT AND LEE FUNERAL HOME - MORTON BURIAL: MORTON MEMORIAL CEMETERY Bernice Usry Simmons Morton Bernice Usry Simmons, 89, a resident of Morton died Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Lackey Memorial Hospital in Forest. Funeral services will be held at 3 pm today at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton with burial in the Morton Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 2 pm until 3 pm today at the funeral home in Morton. Rev. Earl Clark and Rev. Charles Ware will officiate the services. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton will be in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Simmons was a native of Scott Co. She was the daughter of Lewis E. and Maude Hollingsworth Usry. She was married to James W. Simmons. Mrs. Simmons was a member of Sharon Primitive Baptist Church. She loved her family and spending time with them brought great joy to her life. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her. Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis E. and Maude Hollingsworth Usry, her five brothers and two sisters. Mrs. Simmons is survived by her husband of 73 years, James W. Simmons; daughter, Betty (Richard) Grant of Morton; sister, Linda Simmons of Jackson; two grandchildren, Gaye (Steve) Crotwell of Morton and Richie (Randy) Grant of Morton; four great-grandchildren, Colby and Kaley Crotwell of Morton and Jordan and Jase Grant of Morton; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Richie Grant, Jase Grant, Steve Crotwell, Colby Crotwell, Andy Usry and Steve Simmons.
